Today, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate my featured web design… it was an amazing feeling to get my website design featured and I’m super proud of it. Since starting Dragonfly Ave a few years ago and slowly working on building my design studio up, this was a real testament that things are possible and take time!

It went down on Saturday + I freaked the f*ck out!!! Yeah… totally wish I could say I was calm + collected but I wasn’t. I kept jumping up + down (you know the one when you try to tap your feet together as you jump? Yeah that kind of jumping), kept saying woo hoo + yelled so loud to tell my mom that she thought something was wrong.. whoops
But after submitting + submitting, one of my designs was selected as part of DIVI‘s monthly design showcase. And it happened to be my own personal website, marciangeles.com – which meant my name was all in bold + caps + sh*t… damn! Totally nerve wracking + exciting all at once! Especially cause no one sent me a message beforehand saying that it was happening and was caught completely by surprised. Yup!
Anyways… I’m still quietly whispering woohoo to myself because it’s still so surreal BUT I wanted to take a moment to share something even more important with you…
Don’t stop. Keep submitting, keep sharing your work, keep showing off your skills, keep working.. YOU ARE DOING AMAZING F*CKING THINGS!! KEEP GOING!! You never know when you’re going to be featured, selected, promoted, or seen. It all takes time. So keep going. I’ll be cheering you on, jumping up and down + yelling woohoo when it happens for you!
