Not gonna lie, I’m not really a pear person. But when the idea to make rum infused grilled pears came, I knew I could learn to love them. This recipe was so fun + actually quite easy to make. They takes less than 10 minutes to make and paired with a scoop of ice cream, it’s a total knockout for girls nights, entertaining friends + family or just staying-in and enjoying while watching Netflix!
A few notes before you make the rum infused grilled pears: I made, I did use Gold Bacardi Rum, but feel free to use your personal preference. Also, if you don’t want to, you don’t actually have to add alcohol, the grilled pears are still delicious. Plus, if you don’t add the ice cream, this tasty treat becomes vegan, dairy-free + gluten-free, so very dietary needs friendly!

Ingredients:
1 tbsp Gold Bacardi rum (or the rum of your choice)
1-2 bosc pears
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¾ teaspoon brown sugar
Optional: Ice cream
How to make:
Start by cutting the pear(s) into thin, vertical slices + put them off to the side.
Mix the cinnamon + brown sugar in a small bowl or ramekin. Once mixed, spread the cinnamon sugar mix on top of the pear(s). Using a toothpick or fork, poke little holes in the pears (this will help absorb the rum).
Put non-stick pan on medium heat (I used a grill pan to add the grill marks). Also, make sure you either spray non-stick pam spray or add butter to keep the pears from sticking. Add the pears to the pan and then pour the Bacardi rum over the pear(s).
Let pear(s) grill for 30 sec – 1 min, then flip over. Place grilled pear(s) on plate, pour a little extra rum (1/4 tablespoon) over the pears, add ice cream if desired + enjoy!
