According to Unbounce, the faster your website loads, the better conversions, the lower bounce rates and the happier your visitors are. Meaning, your websites speed is incredibly important to the how your visitors will react to your business. If you’re a little unsure about how to test your website speed, you can test your website speed with these websites. All of which offer to do it for free and some provide more data for a premum fee. All you have to do is add in your link and it will test your website speed!
1. page speed insights by google
Google offers a free speed insights page that you can use. You enter the url and it gives you a report with the load time and recommendations on what you can improve.
2. Pingdom
This works similar to Page Speed Insights but they also allow you to choose a location from where the page is loading. Essentially giving you insight on how your website performs and loads in different countries.
3. GT Metrix
GT Metrix is similar to the others, but I like this one and Pingdom because they have easy to read reports. It tells you your current speed times and opportunities.
Personally, I test out my speed times or the speed times on my clients websites using all three of these because they do at times give off different times. However, they all work great and give you some much needed insights. If your speed time is too low, definitely work on making some changes to make your website faster.
