Women Of Color Illustration Graphics

Design, Free Goods

It’s been awhile since I’ve been on Canva to create graphics (I’ve been mostly using Adobe Photoshop & XD these days), but I was pleasantly suprised to see the variety of new graphics & illustration elements available. They lend to helping you create some pretty damn cool graphics.

With the recent tragic & horrific events of the death of George Floyd & Breonna Taylor, people are speaking out and demanding action, accountablity & change. I hate that it took more lives to cause more change but unfortunately here we are. I also think it’s a bit sad to see that it’s taken so long for so many of us to finally open our eyes and see that we still have work to do.

Although, as a minority myself, I understand racism, I will never understand it or experience it the way a black person does. And although I watch the movies, listen to the stories & know how fucked up our system is, I still have a lot more to learn & change.

That being said, I did think it was beautiful to see illustrations & graphics signifying girl power, black woman & men & protests available in Canva.

As a designer, I’ve been trying to create more pieces that can help lift the cause (like these). I used some to create a few graphics in an effort to showcase WOC coming together to make the world better.
